Janroel studied Electrical Engineering at Delft University of Technology, graduating in Information and Communication Theory on Stereoscopic Disparity Estimation. He worked in the field of Digital Signal Processing on Audio Watermarking for Broadcast Applications, then shifted his attention to Internet Video. Meanwhile -- in his "home lab" -- he developed the first incarnations of neural networks based on high-definition bit stream processing, inspired by Super Audio CD signal fidelity.
